About The Program

The Academy of Warren cares about our community. We continue a strong partnership with Gleaner's Food Bank Mobile Pantry Program.

This program provides opportunities for our students and their families to benefit from an additional nutritious balanced meal at no additional cost. Families will be able to receive up to 50 lbs of food, which may include some of the following items:

20lb bag of fruit
20lb bag of vegetables
10lb bag of frozen meat

Pick Up Day is Friday.

How to Sign Up

Parents, it's easy to sign up for Gleaner's. Stop by our front desk to fill out a short form so you can take advantage of this resource for your family.

Volunteers Needed

Please help: we need volunteers to help set up our Gleaner's fresh fruits and veggies for this year. Volunteer your time and help us set up the Food Banks each month on Friday afternoon. To volunteer or get more information, call our School Office 586.552.8010.

Community Partners

Community Members We are sharing just a few names of our dedicated community members (Gleaners, Kroger, Art Van, Glory Supermarkets, Kids City, Mr. Alan's, E & S Uniforms, P & D Uniforms, The Matrix Complex, The B-Side of Youth, Warren Police Department, Little Caesar's Pizza, Oakland University, Macomb Intermediate School District, Parent Advisory Board). Our community members do many things for the Academy of Warren. Their commitment to us includes providing free school supplies, giving our families deep discounts on uniforms, professional services and products. They also support our AOW student businesses. Community members provide AOW children with opportunities to engage in service learning. This experience helps our children to understand the value in giving back to their community. Students are able to apply communication, business and marketing skills at the grass roots level, while broadening their vision towards involvement in a global economic market.

Dentist R Us We are proud to have our students served by Dentist R Us, a unique community/school based mobile dental program. The Dentist R Us program allows our AOW students to be seen in the comfort of their own school. A professional dental team of specialists will help each child learn about oral hygiene as they offer each child a personalized dental plan. They will minimize time taken from class, making this mobile dental program exceptionally convenient for the parents, schools (including head start or preschool programs) and students.
