Parent Welcome Letter 2021

We are excited for the 2021-2022 school year. Please read the following Parent Welcome Letter from Mr. Glenn.

Creed of Excellence

My education is important to me. To become educated, I must discipline myself. I will observe the school rules every day to make Academy of Warren the best school on planet Earth. I will listen to my teachers, I will treat my classmates kindly. I will work with all my ability. I will work quietly and respect the rights of others to learn in peace. Every day I will do my best to respect others and to respect myself. My education is important to me!

School Uniforms

Academy of Warren students wear their school uniforms with pride. Uniforms are an expression of unity, and help our students focus on what is important: their education, not their clothing. As an expression of uniqueness, a uniform helps each individual developed a style not based on appearance, but based on their skills, intellect, and personality. Parents help students develop the right mind set when they make sure their students dress in the correct uniforms each and every day.

Fresh Fruits & Vegetables Pilot Program This program provides our Academy of Warren children with fresh fruit and vegetable snacks during the school day. Eating more fruits and veggies has been proven to be helpful in reducing students' purchase of soda, chips and candy.

They can't learn if they aren't at school Getting your child to school on-time, every day, unless they are sick, is something parents must do to ensure your child can succeed in school. AOW Attendance Policy

Volunteer Success at the Academy of Warren is based on many factors, including consistent, committed parent involvement. At AOW, our parents are present each week volunteering their time in the cafeteria, hallways, classrooms and during events. Through our Parent Advisory Board our parents investigate and discover many opportunities to partner with the school, including supporting staff during Parent Teacher Conferences, attending family workshops and providing chaperoning for field trips, performances, athletic events, science fairs, holiday programs, parent meetings, fund-raising activities and assemblies. Are you a business owner, or do you have a special skill that you can share with us? We'd LOVE to have you make a presentation, or share your crafts or special talents with our students.
